It’s Monday morning at 6:01 and I’m typing from my desk in Hollywood, seeing my sporadic, painted black nails chipped and skating from that letter to this one. We landed at LAX last night after a ten hour flight from from London, Heathrow. It’s raining here. It wasn't raining there. I just made a coffee via French press and grinder which I hadn’t used in some time as you know, but it equaled 1.2 cups of coffee and that’s near futile at this point so I’ve ordered a backup. I feel like I made it home to you… to read this, my weekday habit or job or whatever I may be saying, I missed this position.
I really had such an incredible time at the two UK shows and meeting so many of you and in strange tears of gratitude I wore sunglasses nonstop to conceal some overwhelming, overtaking that arrived on stage. And you already know how I feel. Going in and out of tenses so just try to dance with me ‘til I land back in my natural timezone. Here is some writing on Whitby. Will share on London later this week.

Writing to you from the table of a black sprinter leaving London for Whitby. Landed here yesterday morning and fake slept through the day which looked like four hours from 19:00 to 23:00 and then awake again until 5am until 9:30 am. Trying to realign the body after ten hours of airplane and people and it’s grey here but not raining (yet). Looking up vegan options in Whitby and here are some things I considered doing last night in London:
Going to the Library 1994 to look at Carol Christian Poell Pieces
Going to Blue Mountain School to look at Geoffrey B. Small pieces
Ian Svenonius played at Rough Trade but I found out too late
Tottenham vs Manchester United game. I considered pulling the trigger and finding my way to the match and upon looking up the score now I’m glad I didn’t as the game is tonight, not last night. I have no other real feelings about these teams I just wondered If I needed an experience.
I decided I didn't need one that bad and don’t know what time it is here or back home
Instead I listened to the only things I downloaded for the trip which are poetry readings by Ferlinghetti, Plath, Lowell, Sexton and the latest Lana Del Rey album, Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, which made me a fan of hers for the first time. The title track, plus “Sweet” & “A&W” & “Paris, Texas” have been on repeat for me lately. Lyrics…
My view has looked like this for most of the four hour ride and I’m very okay with that:
